Formed in 1990. Their first live performance took place at “Back from the Grave,” a series of events that was central to Tokyo’s garage punk scene. In 1993, they made a sensational album debut on SUB POP, making the name SUPERSNAZZ known worldwide and supporting numerous bands visiting Japan. They carried out energetic live activities, including a European tour (11 countries, 38 venues) and domestic tours. They later embarked on their third U.S. tour in 1995 and appeared on numerous compilations from Japan and abroad. In 1998, SHOE, formerly the drummer of TEENGENERATE, officially joined the band (later departing). A globally acclaimed power-pop garage band and national treasure!
