MAKE UP

A funky soul-core band formed by three members of the legendary Washington, DC-based DISCHORD hardcore band NATION OF ULYSEES, known alongside MINOR THREAT and FUGAZI, after the band broke up and following their work with TAMMY SHOW and CUPID CAR CLUB. Their distinctive sound is an exquisite fusion of James Brown-style funky shouted vocals and a poignant punk sensibility. Drummer JAMES is the younger brother of Brendan, FUGAZI's drummer.
